Fertility yoga classes & workshops are a great way to find a supportive community. It's a safe place to share our story, to find support when we are struggling, and to share in the joys of seeing dreams come true.
Whether I’ve attend Sacred Spaces’ yoga classes, workshops (in person or online), or one-on-one energy sessions, I always leaving feeling that I’ve not only learned so much, but that I’ve been held in a warm embrace. Kate creates safe spaces where you get to know other women and feel like part of a community. She has such a wealth of knowledge and experience and shares it from the heart. I also love that she tells her participants about other relevant resources from the community (practitioners/events/classes.) And as someone that has an eye for detail, I appreciate the nuances that go into the cozy environment of Kate’s classes – the ambience, the music, the tea. Thank you!

My husband and I take a long time to make a baby, we have "unexplained infertility". My first child was conceived after 2 years of trying, and after more than 3 years trying for a second, I thought I had exhausted every natural, alternative avenue... yoga, diet, meditation, acupuncture, massage, supplements etc... (topped off with a couple rounds of Clomid, and pressure to start hormone injections at the fertility clinic). It was then that I saw an advertisement for Kate's Optimizing Your Fertility Yoga Workshop. Thinking I was probably already doing and trying everything, I decided to sign-up anyway. I am so glad that I did!
Sure, I had read a lot of the information about natural fertility optimization in books, so a lot of what Kate said was good reminders for me, but the class also opened my eyes to other avenues, practitioners and experts that I did not know about before. In addition, it gave me a space to share my story and to hear from other women who are struggling to make a baby. It had been a very lonely journey for me until that point, having no friends who have gone through infertility - so speaking about it was wonderful. I also met a classmate who became a friend and we have been supporting each other on our journey's ever since. Kate is also such a generous person, sharing many personal stories from her own life, lending out books etc...; she truly cares about each of her students and genuinely wants to help us reach our goals. I am happy to report that all of the work I have done since Kate's workshop has paid off! We are expecting our 2nd baby in December 2017.

I first met Kate in November, just one month after my third pregnancy loss in 2016. The Optimizing Your Fertility Workshop is key to understanding the key elements within your body/mind/heart that need to be aligned for healthy conception. As a result of the workshop my husband and I made significant shifts in our lifestyle as conception is a 50/50 sport :). Kate is so generous, she has a wealth of information and resources as she went through her own fertility journey. She brings books to class that back up the content she's communicating in the workshops - which reminds me, I still need to return a few books!
My husband and I also participated in the Fertility Partner Yoga Workshop. This was more on yoga and less on philosophy, a great way to connect and get playful with your partner and communicate as you have to support each other in the poses! We really enjoyed the session, being fertility challenged is pretty stressful! This was a nice way to do something positive to support your body - mind - spirit - relationship!
Together, my partner and I attended the 6 week Fertility Yoga Class. These classes are perfect to support your body and heart during the journey. Nice mix of Hatha, Restorative and Yin Yoga. I love restorative! Boost for the nervous system - yes please!!!
I also participated in The Creating The Energetic Ripple Retreat. This was great opportunity to dig deep and understand what blocks may be holding you back from conceiving. I enjoyed the reflective nature of this class and recognizing limiting beliefs and acknowledging our negative self talk. We worked to re-frame these beliefs to have a more positive outlook on the journey and lessons we learn along the way. I really loved the Mala Ceremony as well. Learning about the Charkras and how to support and nurture the body as a system was so cool. The process of creating the mala was very special and you really do put your heart and soul into it. I love wearing my Mala, it has such a special meaning to me, plus it's beautiful! I attended a another Mother's Day Mala yoga workshop with Kate and Jayme and it was such an nice afternoon to honor my babies!
It's been a long journey and it's far from over, I now feel ready to get back on the horse so to speak. I have truly appreciated the support and information. I am much stronger and more aware of what I can do to improve my chances of becoming a mom again. I don't feel stuck in limbo anymore. Fertility challenges are difficult, but I am thankful for the support and
community that Kate has created!
