Awakened by a profound Spiritual experience during the passing of my father in the early eighties, I begin to ask the question, “Who am I?” and “What is my purpose here?” I also found common threads of a Higher Power or Supreme Being and conversations regarding forgiveness. In search of the answers I begin to study, practice and embrace philosophies from many cultures and traditions. I read every book I could get my hands on, took every class that came my way and sought out those I felt embodied spiritual truth. What I discovered was all spiritual approaches are equal in value to those who believe and do the practice. I also found common threads of forgiveness, surrender, love and compassion weaved through the center of all of them creating a tapestry of universal truth.
In the early nineties, I took my first yoga class and since have lived in gratitude for my practice, as it brings me many gifts. Since my discovery, I have studied and practiced with Spiritual Teachers and Masters from all over the world. These amazing truth seekers taught me to honor and embody that which speaks to my heart and soul. Each pointed me inward to find peace, my true nature and a tangible experience of God. Long before I understood intellectually the principles and philosophies of yoga, something continued to call me deeper into my practice, deeper into the experience of my “Authentic Self”. I know now that this was my calling to understand and to experience the value and gifts of yoga, as I would one day teach and share this amazing journey with others.
Expressing my devotion through serving others is the greatest gift I can give to the collective as well as to myself. When In service to others I experience the true nature of my being, the deepest most profound love I have known. My devotion to service has blessed me with many opportunities to support my brothers and sisters. I have volunteered in abuse shelters helping women and children heal and reclaim their value and worth. I have served as a Hospice volunteer creating and holding a Sacred Space for others as they make their transition. I have served as a Chaplain at Unity supporting others in connecting with source and surrendering to the highest good for all. I currently teach at Virginia Piper supporting the many cancer patients in their healing process and to cultivate hope and positivity. I know I am blessed each time I act in the service of others for if we truly are all one, it is impossible to give to another without receiving the same Grace in return.
"I am not a philosopher who is trying to make a system of thought. I am a mystic who is trying to convey the mysteries that have become available to me.” --Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh

Over the years I have accomplished three certification which has educated me in the many approaches and philosophies of yoga. I have been teaching and sharing this amazing practice for almost ten years now. I hold weekly classes, workshops; create spiritual retreats and events that support and empower women. I am trained in transformational breath work and have credit toward my coaching certification. I write and offer talks on conscious living and relationships. My commitment is to continue my education and training as to this day I am amazed by the practice, the results and the blessings I am able to share with others.
In its truest form, the practice of yoga is one of surrender “Thy will, not my will be done.” Each day, I recommit myself to the practice of letting go and letting the highest plan for my life to unfold. I have visions of what I would like to create and participate in along this journey however I know there is a grander plan than I envision waiting for me to discover. My intention for my life is to continue my commitment to service, continue my yoga practice and to continue becoming and discovering the true nature of my being. It excites me to know, there is no end to this journey, and that I am constantly evolving in consciousness and expanding in my ability to love and be loved. It is my greatest gift and honor to share this truth and practice with others and to be in service to you.

My deepest gratitude goes to my living Master Teacher Yogi Amrit Desai for his love, his commitment, and the amazing Grace he has bestowed on me and so many others. I know each day that I have been truly blessed by the opportunity to be in the presence of a Master. If you would like more information about this amazing master teacher go to www.amrityoga.org
Gurudev or Yogi Amrit Desai is recognized as one of the pioneers of the authentic teachings of yoga in the West. He has been repeatedly honored for following in the footsteps of many of the great spiritual Masters such as Paramahansa Yogananada and Swami Vivekenand in spreading the profound depth of the ancient teachings of India to the world. Gurudev is recognized as a spiritual ambassador of the ancient wisdom of India to the West and for his unique contribution to the integrated practice of Hatha and Raja yoga into one holistic experience of the classical eight limbed (Ashtanga) yoga which is missing from the popular practice of yoga today.
